Every parent knows that travelling with kids has its ups and downs, but if the kids are happy, everyone’s happy. Helen Earley has travelled across Nova Scotia to find the very best kid-friendly adventures so families can make the most of their time together. The result is 25 full-day adventures and memory-making experiences that include options for every season and price point.

There’s something for everyone in this collection — from a family hike through history on McNabs Island to exploring the beaches of Queens County, or going down a coal mine in Cape Breton. Helen Earley has included a range of activities that will appeal to all ages. She highlights adventures — especially less well-known ones — for every season. There are tips on the best time of day or year to visit, how to save money and the all-important information on where the bathrooms and snack bars are located. This book takes the leg-work out of planning your next family adventure or road trip so that you can focus on having a good time. The goal is to help every family achieve maximum fun with minimum stress.

“The pictures are amazing, there’s a lot of information...I’m going to recommend people pick up this book. This is a very cool book about our own province and how to stop by different places in our province that you might not think about and be able to go and enjoy them.”

- Scott Oakley, Morning Show host 101.5 The Hawk

"The book also provides often overlooked and incredibly convenient advice on situations such as where to find decent cell phone reception...or where desperate parents can locate a satisfactory washroom."

- Steve Gow Halifax Today

“This is a great book! The timing is impeccable because things are finally open in Nova Scotia and parents want ideas of what they can have me sold on visiting these spots!”

- Alyse Hand, Host Global News Morning Halifax

“[The author] has given me lots of ideas for things to do as I plan my summer!”

- Portia Clark, Host CBC Information Morning Halifax

"I've learned so much...It is very helpful. To all those who are watching, grab a copy."

- East Coast Filipino Portal

"What I absolutely love about this book is that it focuses on four seasons of adventure!"

- Jan LaPierre A For Adventure
