Robyn's Art Attack

By Hazel Hutchins
Illustrated by Yvonne Cathcart

About this book

Robyn gets to choose where her class will go on their next field trip. Inspired by the local newspaper’s drawing contest she chooses the art gallery—and everyone, even her best friend Marie, expects to have a boring time.

The art gallery turns out to be great: there are huge, colourful paintings covering whole walls; a robotic chair-sculpture that assembles and disassembles itself; and an ice cream parlour with thirty-seven flavours in the basement. Her classmates are delighted, but Robyn’s artistic experiments prove, well, disappointing. Her contact with the newspaper, however, reveals hidden talents, and sets Robyn’s imagination working in an entirely different direction.

Robyn’s Art Attack is a story about a girl whose dreams lead her to discover unsuspected abilities.
